God's love

      God's love for us is greater than we can ever imagine. He gave up his son to die on a cross for all our sins. Even His love showed through Jesus.

      In Luke 23:34 Jesus said, " Father forgive them, for they know not what they do. "

      Later in Luke one of the criminals hanging beside him asks, " Lord remember me when you come into your kingdom. " Even nearing death Jesus said to him, " Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise. "

      God loved the world so much He made a new covenant with man through Jesus where if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. It's that easy for God to love everyone, and now it's our turn to show his love through us.

Forgiveness

Is forgiveness something that must be earned not just given? That is where we are wrong. Does the father not forgive us by our asking. Sometimes its the hardest thing to say or do when someone has hurt us. I have heard a song called "forgiveness" by Matthew West, its from where a lady forgave the drunk driver that took her little girl's life. If she can do that why is it so hard for us to forgive with much smaller things. Just a few days ago I have finally told my ex-wife that I forgave her for everything she has done in the past. After that it felt like some weight had been lifted off of me. We don't know what could be holding us down, but if someone needs to be forgiven that would be a start.

Praise and worship

To praise is to proclaim or describe the glorious attributes of God with homage and thanksgiving. We should give thanks to the Lord everyday and for everything. I myself give thanks for the sun or rain, just being able to wake up another day, and still having a job. When we praise God we are showing how thankful we are. And to worship is to show profound religious devotion and respect to; adore or venerate. Ok so devotion and respect, singing songs and praying to lift Gods name high. I don't feel a lot of churches do this enough today. It takes a back seat and everything has a time line to follow. God don't want to be put on a time line, he wants us to stand up loud with praise and worship. Sunday at our church that's all we did, some gave testimonies and some rededicated their life to Christ.  

Why and How could God use me.

A lot of us ask this. It may be because of our past that we ask. We all do it, I was before I said ok I'll do this blog. It may not be something big for all. Sometimes all it takes is telling someone hey or asking how they are doing. You never know how bad someone may feel because they are alone. We should show kindness, love and concern for one another. God can use anyone at anytime. If your asking yourself could he use me the answer is always yes. And just because you are different just means you can touch someone others can't.

Being Holy

I would like to touch on being holy. We should be holy as the Lord is holy. So we should be humble, not thinking we are better than anyone in any way. James 3:6 "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble". We are not to speak evil or judge another, nor are we to boast. Being holy is being more like God. I know that I myself fall short, but I want to be as holy as he. You never know, the homeless,poor, or just someone who is different could be your Jesus in disguise.

Darkness

We have two kinds of darkness, a spiritual and literal darkness. The spiritual darkness is being lost, not knowing God as your savior and being in a world of sin. Then we have the literal darkness that some of us choose, of wearing all black, liking skeletons and just being different. I will tell you this, it doesn't matter what you wear or like, as long as you have faith and try to live your life by the Lord, he does not judge you. God brings it all down to one thought, and thats just knowing him as your savior. We should always show love to everyone we meet.l Love is very important in every day life. With some Christians, no one knows what they are for, only what they're against, because of judgment.

Why ridiculed

Why is it new and reborn people of faith get ridiculed by the people of the world. It's because Satan is of worldly desires. He wants us to get down and think we shouldn't openly share our love and faith in God. He wants us to stay in the worldly desires, and out of our faith. Yes we will always have hard times but with faith we can make it through anything that comes our way.

Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.
